Directed by Glenn Osten Anderson, this documentary follows Ali Bergstom and Daniel Trush as they seek the goal of completing the 2005 New York City Marathon. Both are members of the Achilles Track Club and have different limitations that make the path to reach their goals more difficult than most. Bergstrom spent more than two years in a wheelchair because of rhumatoid arthritis and a degenerative bone disease. At any moment her bones could break, yet after therapy she had regained some mobility and is walking once again. In order to compete she uses a specially designed chair where her arm movements in front propel her forward. 21 year old Daniel Trush has suffered from five brain aneurysms, a month in a coma, and has endured multiple strokes. Daily tasks like tying his shoes are even difficult. Visit Amory Track.com to view this entire film in four different segments and see how they pursued their marathon dreams. This film was featured at the Running Film Festival that was held during the 2008 US Olympic Track and Field Trials in Eugene, Oregon.
