Provided to physical therapists, and others in fitness related fields, the presentation is an overview of the process of preparing clients for a marathon. There is detailed advice on the most important workouts, how to taper for race day, and the process of trying to delay fatigue during the race. Additional areas of interest include cardiovascular, muscular, and metabolic factors as well as training concepts of milage, long runs, lactate threshold, and long intervals.
