Still in Indiana, action has moved to the RCA Dome this year where teams like Tennessee and George Mason hope to make a run for the title. In the end, it was again the University of Arkansas men’s team winning its 12th straight NCAA indoor track and field championship. The LSU women’s team wins their third consecutive championship by three points over second place UCLA. Runners who took home individual titles this year include Tim Harden, Phillip Riley, Deon Minor, Michael Williams, Kevin Sullivan running 3:55.33 for a meet record in the mile, Jason Bunston, Mark Carroll, and Phillip Riley in the 55 meter high hurdles. Women won stood on the top spot of the victory stand include Melinda Sergent, Gillian Russell, Merlene Frazer, Youlanda Warren, Amy Wickus, Trine Pilskog, Sarah Schwald, and Jennifer Rhines.
