The Hoosier Dome in Indianapolis, Indiana made way for great teams such as Clemson and Stanford. When the lights went down it was Razorbacks of Arkansas winning the men’s championship, and the Florida Gators taking their first national title for the women’s squad. One of the meet records was Allen Johnson running 7.07 in the 55 meter high hurdles just edging the privious best of 7.08 (set by both Roger Kingdom in 1984 and Tony Li in 1991). Additional people who won titles on the track include Michael Green, James Trapp, Deon Minor, Rich Kenah, Andrew Keith, Josephat Kapkory, Jon Brown, Chryste Gaines, Gillian Russell, Michelle Collins, Maicel Malone, Mireille Sankatsing, Karen Glerum, Geraldine Hendericken, and Tracy Dahl.
