Teams met at the Myriad Convention Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to try in win National titles this year. In the end it was Arkansas taking home its fifth consecutive Men’s Championship over Illinois and the Texas women won their second title in three years over the team from Villanova. Men who won individual championships in the running events include Lee McRae, James Purvis, Dennis Mitchell, Clifton Campbell, Jim Maton, and Joe Falcon in both the mile and 3,000. Representing the women were the following champions: Carlette Guidry, LaVonna Martin, Pauline Davis, Terri Dendy, Karol Davidson, and Vicki Huber in both the mile and 3,000 meters.
