The Running of the 2007 Grand Island Trail Marathon
2007
56 Minutes
Event Coverage
Available in DVD
This 56 minute event coverage film is from director Richard Sosa of Pozole Films. Join the 300 runners from 35 states who take the ferry boat ride to this Lake Superior Island, filled with cliffs and beautiful water views, to participate in this unique trail marathon. Several athletes tell their personal stories of what motivates them to run or about their particular goals in competing in this event. Coverage varies from the very competitive men’s race (with the leaders running together the entire distance until the finishing kick) to first time experience with the marathon. For a small company with only a handful of cameras, they have put together a production that is well edited, narrated, and with a very nice soundtrack. If you competed in this race you would have a special keepsake in this film as there are many group shots and all the finishers are listed in the closing credits (you may also purchase a 60 second downloadable video of your marathon finish). To learn more about this race visit their official site at Great Lakes Endurance.com where you can view race results, see a map of the course, or place your registration for next year.
