Clark Campbell, former professional triathlete and University of Kansas coach, hosts this 2005 release that gives 42 minutes of instruction on how to improve your run segment of the triathlon. This is one of six DVDs in this series aimed at improving technique and training methods for the beginner through advanced athlete. The first segment of this production, "Proper Running Technique", focuses on establishing an efficient running posture and breathing techniques to maximize efficiency. Coach Campbell then discusses and demonstrates common errors often found in running form. Drills are used to highlight changes that you can use to ensure proper running form, including specific technique instruction for uphill and downhill running. In the second portion, "Training", Campbell offers a classroom style lesson that includes the following topics: Use of heart rate and pace, training zones, variety of terrain for quality workouts, long run strategies, brick workouts, and incorporating road and track races as a part of training.
