If you are wanting to increase your sense of awareness in yourself and how to make good choices to remain safe while out running than this video will offer you several tips to increase your confidence to remain safe. You will get advice from an FBI Agent, U.S. Park Police, and other trainers who are concerned about keeping running safe and fun. Just a few of the tips that are elaborated on is to stay alert (no headphones), use your intuition, be prepared, vary your route, and project strength and authority. An additional section discusses how you, or your club, can work with your local law enforcement agency to best be informed of problems and people.This film won the "Golden Apple" award at the 1994 National Educational Film and Video Festival.
