East is a naive country boy who goes to college with the hopes of being a big track star. Despite the fact that his older brother caused some problems for the Delts, the top fraternity, with his student activism some years back, East is asked to join the group. During the initiation ceremonies, he believes that a friend is killed and is shocked when the fraternity leader asks him to help cover up the death and to dispose of the body.
