This production is presented in three parts: Part 1- Reviving the contests of the ancient world (1896-1916); Part 2- To the glory of sports (1920-1944); and Part 3- Faster, Higher, Stronger (1948-1992). Direction was provide by Peter Friedrich Leopold and narration from Monika Solem. From the 100 meters to the marathon many of the most memorable Olympic races are covered including athletes such as Jesse Owens, Carl Lewis, Wilma Rudolph, Fanny Blankers-Koen, Sebastian Coe, Steve Ovett and Abebe Bikila, just to name a few.
