This is the second month in a row where 19 entries were submitted. The random winner, Vickie M. from Collinsville, Mississippi, knew that Steve Prefontaine was born and raised in the small lumber town of Coos Bay, Oregon. By having the correct answer she wins Without Limits, the 1998 release by Warner Brothers that stars Billy Crudup, Donald Sutherland, and Monica Potter.

March 2008: Indulgence

Although there were several entries this month from the Netherlands, it was Brian H. from Hollister, California who was randomly selected from the 19 entries received this month. He wins Indulgence: 1000 Miles Under the Colorado Sky by knowing that Anton "Tony" Krupicka was filmed running the trails in California, Colorado, Nevada, and Utah during the course of this film.

The winners this month were selected from a small pool of three entries. January 2008: Spirit of the Marathon

Six people suggested titles this month that had yet to be added to the site and between them 15 new films were suggested: Run, Fat Boy, Run, Running the Sahara, Juno, Training for the 40 yard Dash, Marathon, The Jericho Mile, Building a Better Runner: Building from the Ground Up, Too Much of a Good Thing, Logan’s Run, The Running Queen, Queen of Sports, Judy’s Time, The Long Green Line, Born to Run: A Tale of Endurance, Volcanic Sprint. Many of the films are in production and entries for each of these films will be coming in the near future. With a roll of the dice, David J. was selected as the winner this month and he picked Spirit of the Marathon.

December 2007: 1988 NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s
                  Outdoor Track and Field National Championship

15 entries were received this month with Dan B. from Los Angeles, California being selected at random as the winner. He knew the ULCA 4x400 relay team of Steve Lewis, Kevin Young, Danny Everett, and Henry Thomas become the first ever collegiate team to break the magical three minute mark by posting 2:59.91 for a Record at the 1988 NCAA Division I Meet. 24 titles have been released this year by the NCAA which include Outdoor Track & Field, Indoor Track & Field, and Cross Country event coverage. Keep your eyes out as more will likely be released in 2008.

October 2007: Massanutten: Two Runners, 100 Miles

The athletes start and finish at the Skyline Ranch Resort and within the first ten miles enter the George Washington National Forest. Gary E. from Columbus, Ohio (the winner from 25 entries) knew that this description from Massanutten: Two Runners, 100 Miles took place in the state of Virginia.

There are five elite distance runners featured in Showdown: Abdi Abdirahman, Alan Culpepper, Meb Keflizighi, Dathan Ritzenhein, and Jorge Torres. The answer to this contest is that 2nd place finisher Adam Goucher was not featured in this title, although he is shown racing. Matthew W. from Hagerstown, Maryland was the randomly selected winner this month from the 30 entries. Enjoy the documentary, Matthew.

Sally W. from Titusville, Pennsylvania was selected this month from the 19 entries received. She knew that the Aqua Jogging World Championships are held each year in Finland. With the AQX Sports DVD she can learn more about the benefits of running while supported in a water environment as well as how to maintain proper underwater running technique.

June 2007: Dancing the Bear

This month 44 entries were received trying to win the 2007 release Dancing the Bear, a 100 mile trail run documentary. Jim H. from Baldwinsville, New York knew that this race is held each year in the Bear River Range National Forest located in southeast Idaho.

May 2007: Run Like A Girl

The 2005 documentary Run Like A Girl was the featured give away this month and 27 people submitted entries. Jamie J. from Barbourville, Kentucky knew that one of the featured runners in this film, Doris Brown Heritage, had done each of the following: She was a two time Olympian, Five time World Cross Country Champion, Track & Field and Distance Runner Hall of Fame Member, and was also the First Women on the cover of Runner’s World, in May 1970.

April 2007: Visions of Eight

Visions of Eight, a classic Olympic documentary from 1972, was the selected give away this month. Only 12 entries were received and each of the entries named one segment, from the eight international directors, that contained footage of running. Meredith K. from Wellington, New Zealand named "The Fastest" and was selected as this month’s winner.

March 2007: Runners High

36 entries were received this month hoping to win the featured Movie of the Month, Runners High. The question posed was ‘What does SRO stand for?’ and the answer is Students Run Oakland, the name of the program that trains the students to complete a marathon. Michael M. was the randomly selected winner this month.

Linda T. from Havana, Florida was randomly selected and chose Kicking Bird from the five available titles offered this month. The choices also included ChiRunning, The Olympic Series, Run Like A Girl, and Tokyo Olympiad. This month there were a total of 91 entrants submitted.

Olympic Cowboy was won by Gary G. who knew that each of the facts presented on Bob Hayes were true. Hayes stopped competing at age 22, he ran in borrowed shoes in the Olympic final, he is the only athlete to win both a Super Bowl Ring and Olympic Gold Medal, and his 5 year prison term was reversed after 7 months behind bars. This was a tough question as only 27 out of the 42 entrants selected the correct answer this month.

David Horton took 66 days to run the 2700 miles needed to complete the Pacific Crest Trail from Mexico to Canada. Gretchen G. from Ventura, California knew this answer and was selcted to win The Runner: Extreme UltraRunner David Horton from the 43 entries received this month.

Thomas S. from Middleton, Wisconsin knew that the Yukon Arctic Ultra offered three race options during their secord running. The athletes were able to race a standard marathon of 26.2 miles as well as a 100 or 300 mile distance along the Yukon Quest Trail. There were 64 entries submitted this month trying to win the coverage of this very unique event in severe weather conditions of the Arctic.

This month’s winner, Mark D. from Southbury, Connecticut, knew that Guided Muscles Walking & Running has a focus on quadriceps as the key muscle to leg movement in running. There were 70 entries submitted this month trying to win this technique based VHS tape that is hosted by Jack Nirenstein and also features four time U.S. National Champion runner Jody Hawkins.

The correct answer this month is that the two main characters in Across the Tracks, played by Rick Schroder and Brad Pitt, are best described as brothers. They also race each other on the track in the 800 meter event. Al N. from Blissfield, Michigan was selected from the 79 entries received and has won this 1991 release that was actually filmed three years earlier in 1989.

The most commonly raced cross country distance in High School competition is the 5K. Michael A. from Aurora, Illinois had the right answer and was randomly selected from the 73 entries as the winner of Cross Country: A Celebration of the Purest Form of Running, a 2003 release by Salmini Films. This DVD contains over a dozen of the best cross country races contested in the United States with a focus on Footlocker National Championships.

With only 28 entries submitted this month, Richard B. from Colorado Springs, Colorado was selected as the winner of Great Olympic Confrontations, a 1992 promotional release by Sports Illustrated and HBO Video. He knew that Steve Ovett was the winner of the gold medal 800 in the 1980 Moscow Olympics, beating out fellow countryman Sebastian Coe. Six days later it was Coe who was victorious in the 1500 meters to stop Ovett at 42 consecutive race victories at that distance.

Jason K. from Chicago, Illinois named Carl Lewis as one athlete who competed in a running final in Seoul in order to win Highlights of the 1988 Summer Olympics, Seoul. With 56 entries received, most named sprinters such as Lewis, Florence Griffith Joyner, Lindford Christe, Butch Reynolds, Ben Johnson, and Edwin Moses. The middle and long distance events were also represented with athletes such as Steve Scott who was 5th in the 1500 and Gelindo Bordin from Italy who won the Marathon in 2:10:32.

This month’s random winner, John G. from Riverside, California, knew that The Pose Method of Running has a focus on the hamstring muscle. Without Limits was won by Mike H. from Costa Mesa, California by being selected from 48 entries received this month. Billy Crudup was the correct answer of the actor who portrayed Steve Prefontaine. The "extras" included the following athletes in the Munich Olympic sequences: Pat Porter as Lasse Viren, Steve Ave as Mohamed Gammoudi, and Ashley Johnson as Ian Stewart.

76 people enterd this month’s give away and the winner is Paul D. from Vancouver, Washington. The answer was that the longest day of the "Bunion Derby" covered 74.6 miles, just a fraction of the 3,422 miles that the 55 men covered over the 84-day race on U.S. Highway Route 66. Thanks to director Dan Bigbee, Jr. (read interview) for providing his 2002 documentary, The Great American Foot Race, and selecting the winner this month.

53 entries were sent in this month trying to win Prefontaine, a 1997 release starring Jared Leto. Dianne H. from Hewitt, Texas won this month's film by knowing that Steve Prefontaine won a total of seven NCAA Championships while competing for the University of Oregon from 1968 to 1972 (three in cross county and four on the track at 5,000 meters). This has been the most difficult question so far as less than half the entries selected the correct answer.

Lady Warriors was this month’s movie selection that went to Joe V. from Medford, Oregon .He was randomly selected as this month’s winner, from 98 entries, by knowing that the Tuba City cross country team was seeking their 4th consecutive championship in the state of Arizona. The randomly selected winner to this month's question is Dan P. from Madison, Wisconsin. 256 entries were received this month in response to the question of the last time an American won the 10,000 meters in the Olympics. The answer was 1964, and the athlete was Billy Mills, the only American to win a gold in this event. Dan received Olympica: America's Gold. Volume One, Great Moments of Track and Field, a 1996 release that features 18 different Olympic runners competing in 12 different Olympiads.

Hannah G. from Port Hadlock, Washington was selected as the winner from 15 correct answers this month. She knew that Harold Abrahams won the 100 meter event in the Paris Olympics in 1924. She won the 1981 award winning film Chariots of Fire by being selected at random from all the correct replies.
